Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (Perempuan) Sri Aman, Petaling Jaya, commonly known as SMK (P) Sri Aman, is a girls’ secondary school located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor. The school was established in 1971 and has since become one of the leading girls’ secondary schools in Malaysia.
History of SMK (P) Sri Aman:
- Establishment: SMK (P) Sri Aman officially opened on January 6, 1971. Initially, the school only had students from Form 1 to Form 3.
- Development: Since its inception, the school has undergone various phases of development. In 1973, the school introduced Form 4, and in 1974, it began offering education up to Form 5.
- Academic Excellence: SMK (P) Sri Aman is known for its outstanding academic record. The school consistently achieves good results in public examinations such as the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM).
- Co-curricular Activities: In addition to academic achievements, SMK (P) Sri Aman is also active in various co-curricular activities. Its students participate in sports, arts, and various associations, making them not only academically excellent but also well-rounded in other areas.
- Other Achievements: The school has been awarded various accolades for its achievements in different fields, including being recognized as a High-Performance School (Sekolah Berprestasi Tinggi, SBT) by the Ministry of Education Malaysia.
